Our People
Everything Harvest does is made possible thanks to the countless volunteers who dedicate time and energy to gathering and equipping. Click here for information on volunteer opportunities.
James Forsyth, Pastor
Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland, God brought James to DC to pastor at McLean Presbyterian Church and lead the Harvest community. James has a passion to see God gather and equip our generation to the life-changing joy of following Jesus. His role in this is to preach, unpacking the grace and truth of Jesus and showing how it changes everything; and to pastor, leading our community and walking with us through the mess of life. He considers it a great honor to do both. James graduated from The University of Edinburgh and Reformed Theological Seminary. He lives in Reston with his wife, Rosie, and their four kids: Mia, Caleb, Seamus, and Isla.
Geoff Sackett, Harvest eGroup Coordinator
Geoff considers it a great joy to serve the risen Christ with the Harvest community. Born in Washington, D.C., and having lived most of his life in the Washington suburbs, Geoff’s desire is for our community to grow more deeply in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. His part is to equip those who serve as eGroup leaders, that they in turn might serve others in truth and love; and to serve the community more broadly, that we might know more firmly our role in God’s world. Geoff and his wife, Heather, live in Leesburg with their three children: Jonathan, Maggie and Caleb.
Kathryn Brunner, Worship & Creative Arts Director
Kathryn is passionate about Christ-centered worship that ushers our community into the presence of God. She is gifted with a rare combination of musical creativity and theological depth. Working with an incredible team of gifted musicians, this enables her to lead worship that is both vibrant and substantive. Kathryn graduated from Gardner-Webb University and Reformed Theological Seminary. She lives in Fairfax with her husband, Stanton.
Liz Cozart, Assistant Director
Liz joined the Harvest team in August 2011 after serving five years in the federal government. She studied history and political science at Texas A&M University before earning her master’s degree in security policy studies at George Washington University. Liz is passionate about equipping the saints to follow Christ and live the Gospel in every area of their lives. Her work includes handling the day-to-day details of running Harvest as well as managing Harvest’s discipleship program and meeting with Harvest women. If you have any questions about Harvest or what it means to walk with Christ, or you just need a listening ear, Liz would love to meet with you.
